Memory System: Programming: Personalization
When remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter is used to unlock doors, remote function actuator (RFA) communicates unlock command and which driver performed command to memory seat/mirror module. Each RKE transmitter is programmed with one of four personalized recall options when RFA receives unlock message:
- Mode 0: Memory seat/mirror module sounds single chime and driver's seat will not move.
- Mode 1: Memory seat/mirror module sounds single chime and driver's seat and both mirrors will move to position stored for DRIVER-1.
- Mode 2: Memory seat/mirror module sounds single chime and driver's seat and both mirrors will move to position stored for DRIVER-2.
- Mode 3: Memory seat/mirror module sounds single chime and driver's seat will move to easy exit position (fully back and down).
To program RKE transmitter for specific mode, perform following steps;
- Mode 0: Press MEMORY SET button on left seat switch and within 5 seconds press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter.
- Mode 1: Perform memory set function for DRIVER-1 and then within 5 seconds press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter.
- Mode 2: Perform memory set function for DRIVER-2 and then within 5 seconds press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter.
- Mode 3: Perform an easy exit function and then within 5 seconds press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter or Press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter and then within 5 seconds, perform easy exit function.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
