Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal

1996 Buick Roadmaster BaseSECTION Removal
  1. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Remove air intake duct and resonators. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove mechanical fan shroud and fan blade (if equipped). Store fan clutch in an upright position to keep oil from leaking from clutch. Remove electric cooling fans and shroud (if equipped). Remove upper mounting panel (if equipped).
  2. Disconnect refrigerant lines at condenser and seal openings to prevent contamination. Remove bolts from radiator support. Tilt top of radiator rearward and slide condenser out between radiator and support. Remove condenser from vehicle.
