Orifice Tube

1996 Buick Roadmaster BaseSECTION Orifice Tube

The orifice tube is located in an enlarged portion of condenser outlet pipe. It controls the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. The orifice tube has filter screens on both inlet and outlet sides. Tube has no moving parts and is not adjustable. If tube is plugged or defective, it must be replaced as a unit.
