(1) Use NEW nut and washer whenever old nut is loosened or removed.
(2) Tighten ball joint stud nut to 63 ft. lbs. (85 N.m). Tighten nut further only as far as necessary to align cotter pin holes. Never loosen nut to align holes.
(3) Use specification supplied with ball joint service kit.
(4) Use NEW bolt and retainer whenever bolt is loosened or removed.
