Code A062: Low Accumulator Pre-Charge
Accumulator charge is about 1200 psi (84 kg/cm2 ). The pump motor maintains system pressure between 2200 psi (155 kg/cm2 ) and 2700 psi (190 kg/cm2 ). Accumulator switch motor control closes as pressure drops below 2200 psi (155 kg/cm2 ). pump motor relay coil is then grounded and voltage is applied to pump motor and pump on input. The pump motor will operate until system reaches full capacity (2700 psi). To set Code A062, the anti-lock brake controller must detect a pump run time of less than 1.4 seconds.
- When pump run time from okay Pressure to pump-off time is under 6 seconds, a low accumulator precharge or malfunctioning accumulator switch point is indicated.
- If pump run cycle is less than 1.7 seconds, a low accumulator precharge or miscalibrated accumulator switch is indicated.
