Code A024: Left Front Release Solenoid Energized Too Long
Using left front wheel speed sensor, the anti-lock brake controller can monitor wheel for lock-up. If wheel lock-up occurs, the anti-lock brake controller activates left front release solenoid until lock-up conditions are eliminated. Code A024 will set if the anti-lock brake controller senses release solenoid has been energized too long.
- Other faults may cause Code A024 to be set falsely. Servicing other codes first may eliminate need to perform Code A024 diagnosis.
- If wheel speed input stays at zero MPH, perform Code A045 diagnosis. If wheel speed remains steadily at low speed, a mechanical or hydraulic problem is indicated.
- Checks for possible short to voltage on circuit No. 830 and circuit No. 873.
