The anti-lock brake controller uses Code A004, as a pretest, to detect malfunction in solenoid or enable relay circuits. Code A004 should always be set with another code; this other code is the one identifying the malfunction.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Code(s) determines what the malfunction is.
- If code A004 is the only code set, an internal malfunction exists in the anti-lock brake controller.
