Brake Light Switch

1990 Buick Regal Custom, 3.8 L, 4T60/ME9SECTION Brake Light Switch
  1. Remove left sound insulator panel. Depress and hold brake pedal. Using a stiff wire with a hooked end, gently pull switch set lever forward (toward front of vehicle) and listen for an audible click. Click indicates release of automatic adjuster. If no click is heard, release brake pedal and repeat step procedure.
  2. After automatic adjuster has been released, pull brake pedal rearward. Listen for switch to ratchet into set position. A minimum of 3 clicks of the ratchet should be heard.
