Code A037: Front Enable Relay Coil Shorted To Ground
When front enable relay control is open, the front enable relay is de-energized. If the front enable relay is de-energized with ignition in the RUN position, voltage should be present at terminal 1D13. To set Code A037, the following conditions must occur.
- Front enable relay control is open (relay de-energized).
- Anti-lock brake controller senses no voltage at terminal 1D13.
- Anti-lock brake controller senses battery voltage at terminals 1D1, 1C3, 1C6 and 1C9.
- Observe ANTI-LOCK warning indicator to determine whether front enable relay has de-energized (light on), indicating a possible defective anti-lock brake controller. Otherwise, a short to ground in circuit No. 972 is indicated.
- If Code A037 is consistent, the anti-lock brake controller is defective.
