Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Buzzing Or High Pitched Rattle
Check for binding, pinching or touching cooler lines (near radiator). Some of the following 1991-92 vehicles may exhibit buzzing noise during slight throttle in forward gears: 2.3L "N" and "W" Bodies, and 3.1L "J" and "L" Bodies. This noise may be caused by vibration of the 1-2 accumulator valve. Revised spacer plates with smaller 1-2 accumulator orifice are now available to correct this problem. See SPACER PLATE (1-2 ACCUMULATOR)Β .
