Mirrors - Power: Operation

1987 Buick Century Custom, 4D Sedan, 2.5 RSECTION Operation

Each power mirror assembly has 2 reversible motors. One motor moves the mirror up or down, and the other moves the mirror left or right. The voltage applied to motor terminals determines the direction mirror motor turns. When the mirror reaches its mechanical limit of travel, a self resetting circuit breaker opens the mirror control circuit to protect motor from overload.
