Precondition 

A production date and no expiration date is printed on the gas pressure springs for hood

If an expiration date is printed, you can continue with step 3

  • The production date (2) has the format (days/year)
  • The production date must be converted into the format (month/year)
  • For the conversion, it must first be determined whether the year printed is a leap year
