Install the BDC control unit

2023 BMW X6 MSECTION Install the BDC control unit
WARNING: Work on components with requirements for a secure energy supply 
Ensure proper function after a repair 
  • Lines are allowed to have only one  repair area.
  • Notices in the diagnostic system circuit diagrams must be observed.
  • When components are replaced, the notices in the applicable BMW parts catalogue must be observed.
  • Connect the connector of the positive battery cable (1) to the BDC control unit (4).

    The following order must be maintained: 

    1. Install the connector of positive battery cable (1) in the arrow direction.
    2. Check that retaining lug (2) is correctly engaged in the detent.
    3. Close lock (3) in the arrow direction.

  • Guide in the BDC control unit (1).

  • Connect all connectors (1) and lock.

  • Maneuver BDC control unit (2)  in the arrow direction.
  • Connect all connectors (1) and lock.

  • Guide in cover (2) in the arrow direction,
  • Check the detents (1).

  • Tighten screw (2) at cover (3).
    TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

    Body Domain Controller (BDC)
    Sheet metal screw 4.8X16 tightening torque  1.2 Nm
  • Position the carpet (1).
