- 11 36 Variable Camshaft Timing Control
- 11 36 128 Removing and installing/replacing intake VANOS central valve, left (X5 xDrive 50i, 2019)
- Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 2
- Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
- Check the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 2
- Relaxing chain tensioner on bank 2 for checking or setting timing
- Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
- Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 2
- Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
- Removing the intake camshaft of VANOS central valve at left
- Installing the left intake VANOS central valve
- Removing special tool to pretension timing chain on cylinder bank 2
- Installing the hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
- Installing the sealing cap on the cylinder head of cylinder bank 2
- 11 36 129 Removing and installing/replacing left VANOS central valve exhaust (X5 xDrive 50i, 2019)
- Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 2
- Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
- Check the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 2
- Relaxing chain tensioner on bank 2 for checking or setting timing
- Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
- Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 2
- Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
- Removing the left exhaust VANOS central valve
- Installing the VANOS exhaust central valve on the left
- Removing special tool to pretension timing chain on cylinder bank 2
- Installing the hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
- Installing the sealing cap on the cylinder head of cylinder bank 2
- 11 36 130 Removing and installing/replacing both VANOS central valves, left (X5 xDrive 50i, 2019)
- Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 2
- Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
- Check the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 2
- Relaxing chain tensioner on bank 2 for checking or setting timing
- Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 2
- Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 2

- Removing both left VANOS central valves
- Installing both VANOS central valves at left

- Installing the sealing cap on the cylinder head of cylinder bank 2
