For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD CD (job number 41 14 560).

NOTE: Observe (repair stage 2) procedure!

Following new body parts are required (see Electronic Parts Catalog):

  1. C-pillar reinforcement
  2. Crash foam at the rear sill
  3. Axial guard control (quantity: 2)

Following CONSUMABLESΒ  are required:

Adhesive tape for spacer 1

Removal:Β 

Undo axial guard controls (1).

Remove crash foam (2).

IMPORTANT: Observe procedure when WORKING ON CARBON FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC PARTSΒ .
Only disconnect the outer component!

Grind off adhesive flanges (1).

Remove reinforcement.

Cut back the adhesive to a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm at all adhesive flanges using a scraper.

Preparation of new part:Β 

Prepare the bonding surfaces on the new part (1).

Bond the spacers on the bonding surfaces approx. every 20 cm.

IMPORTANT: Do not touch bonding surfaces.

Installation:Β 

Apply K2 adhesive to bonding surfaces (1).

Position the new part and secure using collects.

Carry out further installation jobs only after the adhesive has hardened.

Position crash foam (2).

Fit on axial guard controls (1).
