NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Check lower spring pad (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
- Check the position of the lower spring pad (1) with the plastic tab (2) on the camber control arm, correct if necessary.
- Guide in and position coil spring (1) from above in the arrow direction.
- Position the coil spring (1) in such a way that the coil spring end is in form-fit contact with the lower spring pad (2).
- Feed in the spring pad at the top (1).
- Position the upper spring pad on the coil spring (1) such that the coil spring end (2) is in form-fit contact with the upper spring pad.
- Slacken the coil spring with the special tools 0 494 997 (33 5 016)Β and 0 494 934 (33 5 020)Β . Provide counter support to the spindle using special tool 0 494 998 (33 5 017)Β and standard tool (1) in the process.

Note the installation position when relaxing the coil spring and, if necessary, correct it.
- Remove the special tools.
