2018 BMW M4 2D Convertible, Automatic DCT TransSECTION Removing and installing (replacing) control unit for contactless tailgate opening

Necessary preliminary work:Β 

CAUTION: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION)Β .

Removal:Β 

Unlock all connectors (1) on control unit (3) and disconnect.

Release screw (2) and thread control unit (3) out.

Installation:Β 

Thread control unit (3) in and tighten with screw (2).

Connect all connectors (1) to control unit (3).

Installation note:Β 

Make sure all plug connections (1) are fitted correctly.

Make sure control unit (3) is fitted correctly.

Make sure connecting line is routed correctly.
