Carry out leak-testing with a leak tester device following the device manufacturer's operating instructions.

If leaks not to be localized are already identified during evacuation, the A/C system must nevertheless be filled. Refer to 64 50 009 DRAWING OFF, EVACUATING AND FILLING A/C SYSTEM (R 134A)Β . Then test for leaks with leak tester device.

NOTE: Refrigerant is heavier than air.
Therefore always conduct the leak test below the lines and components to be tested.
Shield lines and components against strong blasts of air (wind, drawing off).

Tighten down loose lines, mark leaks.

Then draw off draw off A/C system and seal off or repair leakage points. Refer to 64 50 009 DRAWING OFF, EVACUATING AND FILLING A/C SYSTEM (R 134A)Β .

Then refill A/C system and test for leaks.
