41 00... Position Of Shaped Parts For Cavity Sealing
Cavity sealing is carried out in specific body areas in order to reduce interior noise and to reduce condensation. To do this, shaped parts are inserted in the cavities. These shaped parts adapt themselves optimally due to heating of the body to approx. 180 Β°C by expansion to the shape of the cavities.
Because it is not possible to heat the body to this extent for a body repair, a different procedure has been specified for this situation. See 41 00... Installing cavity sealing (expanded)Β , 41 00... Installing cavity sealing (not expanded)Β or 41 00... Installing a cavity sealing with 2-component PU cavity foamΒ .
