Special Tools Required
Remove drive belt.
Illustrations show N42:
Procedure with special tool 12 7 121.Β
If fitted, remove protective cap from belt pulley.
Depending on the alternator version, hold down alternator axis with:
- Torx key
- Hold inner multi-wrench tool. Special tool 12 7 122Β .
Release freewheel with special tool 12 7 121Β and remove.
Installation:Β
Tightening torque, see 12 31 8AZ in ALTERNATOR WITH DRIVE AND MOUNT .
Procedure with special tool 12 7 123.Β
Depending on the alternator version, hold down alternator axis with:
- Torx key
- Hold inner multi-wrench tool. Special tool 12 7 122Β .
Release freewheel with special tool 12 7 123 and a ring spanner and remove.
Installation:Β
Tightening torque, see 12 31 8AZ in ALTERNATOR WITH DRIVE AND MOUNT .
