32 43 010 Removing and installing/replacing control unit for active front steering
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead
- Partially remove front left wheel arch cover (rear section)
Release nuts (1) and if necessary remove grounding cable (2).
Unclip cable holder (3).
Remove control unit from guide (5) and disconnect plug connections (4).
Installation:
Replace damaged cable holder.
Tightening torque, see 32 43 1AZ in 32 43 ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING .
After installation:
- Replacement only: Carry out programming/coding
- Carry out adjustment for active front steering . See 32 10 005 ADJUSTMENT FOR ACTIVE FRONT STEERING .
