2011 BMW M3 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION 13 62 560 Removing and installing/replacing air-mass sensor (secondary air) (S65)

Necessary preliminary tasks:Β 

  • Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
  • Switch off ignition
  • Remove INTAKE AIR MANIFOLDΒ 

Unlock connector and remove.

Release hose connections.

Pull air-mass flow sensor (1) from air intake hose.

Installation:Β 

Check sealing ring between air-mass sensor and air intake hoses for damage, replace if necessary.

Assemble engine.

NOTE: Check stored fault messages.

Now clear the fault memory.
