12 14 523 Replacing pulse generator on inlet camshaft (N54)
Aluminium screws/bolts are permitted with and without color coding (blue).
For reliable identification:
Jointing torque and angle of rotation must be observed without fail (risk of damage).Β
Necessary preliminary tasks:Β
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Switch off ignition
- Remove FAN COWL
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 13 62 6AZ .
Slide cable duct (2) to one side.
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw.
Tightening torque 13 62 3AZ .
Remove pulse generator (2).
