IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 61 35 1 AZ .

Remove control unit for Car Access System (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Feed guide (1) of control unit for Car Access System (2) correctly into associated mounting.

Replacement: 

Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING 

For vehicles with rear-seat entertainment (RSE): 

Teach in RSE master key via path:

  • Body
  • Rear seat entertainment system
  • Teach in radio remote control
  • Radio remote control
