2011 BMW 535i StandardSECTION 61 31 008 Removing and installing steering column switch cluster (SZL)
WARNING: Move wheels into straight-ahead position and do not alter this position during the repair work.
Do not under any circumstances turn the steering column switch cluster when the steering wheel is removed.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unclip steering column shroud upper section and lower section (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 61 31 3AZ .

Remove steering column switch cluster (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Not applicable to F25  .

Carry out STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ADJUSTMENT .

On vehicles with active steering, steering angle sensor adjustment is performed by means of START-UP /alignment of the active steering.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove steering column switch cluster (2).
