13 53... Removing and installing/replacing an injector N55 up to engine number 14407684 (bottom hold-down device version)
Special tools required:Β
Make sure you strictly observe THE WARNINGS ON REMOVING THE INJECTORSΒ !
Necessary preliminary tasks:Β
- Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (risk of fire due to short circuit on removal).
- Remove IGNITION COIL of corresponding cylinder.
- Disconnect PRESSURE LINESΒ of corresponding cylinder.
Slacken nut (1).
Tightening torque 12 90 5AZ .
Remove earth cable.
Unlock connector (2) from injectors and detach.
Release screw plug (3) and remove.
Release screws (1).
Remove clamping plate (2) and counter support bridge (3).
Clamping plate (2) is a disposable part and must be replaced following removal.
Remove EMC plate (4).
Release screw (1).
Feed out hold-down device (2) and remove.
Lift injectors (3) out of cylinder head and remove.
Mark injectors.
