2010 BMW X5 35dSECTION 11 61 350 Removing and installing/replacing left pressure pipe (charge air hose (M57T2-SCR)

Necessary preliminary tasks:Β 

  • Check function of DDE
  • Remove engine underbody protection
  • Remove acoustic cover
IMPORTANT: Pressure pipes cannot be fitted without lubricant.
Damaged shaped sealing rings will result in a pressure loss, risk of damageΒ  to turbocharger.

Unlock locking clip (1) in direction of arrow.

Release pressure pipe (2) in direction of arrow.

Release pressure pipe at points (1).

Detach cable from retainer (2).

Disconnect plug connection (3).

Installation note:Β 

Visually inspect shaped sealing ring (1) for correct seating and damage.

Coat all mounting fittings with anti-friction agent (2). Refer to TECHNICAL DATA

Lock locking clip (4).

Attach pressure pipe (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:Β 

VDA couplings are correctly fitted when they snap into place with an audible click.

Check function of Digital Diesel Electronics.

Check pressure pipes for leaks.
