Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch trim . See 51 47 161 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
E88:
Remove cover for control units (1).
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Remove trailer module (2) in direction of arrow from device mounting (3).
Replacement:
Carry out vehicle programming/coding.
