2009 BMW 535i StandardSECTION 62 30... Test image of Head-Up Display (HUD)

Call up the test image as follows:

  • Switch the ignition on.
  • Switch on the HUD using button (1).
  • Press the button (1) for longer than 10 s. A menu selection appears in the HUD
  • Use a short keystroke (1) to change between the menus/submenus.
  • Use a long keystroke (1) to open and close the submenus on the right.
  • Select the {"01 Identification"} (2) menu. Open the right submenu (long keystroke) and display the vehicle identification number (3) (short keystroke).
  • Take the cross sum of the vehicle identification number (3) and note it down. (Here, for example, 9 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 9 = 23.)
  • Leave the submenu (long keystroke).
  • Select {"19 Entriegelung"} menu (4) (short keystroke).
  • In the {"Code:"} submenu (6), enter the cross sum (short keystroke). The {"LOCK:"} submenu (5) must be set to "ON".
  • Leave the submenu (long keystroke).
  • Select {"16 Bitmaps"} menu (7) (short keystroke).
  • Activate the test image (long keystroke)
  • Display the test images one after the other (short keystroke)
  • After making the setting, switch off the ignition.
IMPORTANT: Switch on the test image for at most 1/2 h. When operating the test image for a lengthy period, switch the blower to interval stage 3 to avoid overheating.
