Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

61 71 100 - Removing and installing/replacing windscreen washer pump





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- If necessary, remove left front wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel
- Remove front underbody protection Removing and Installing / Replacing Front Underbody Protection





Note:
For purposes of clarity, illustration shows front wheel removed.

Release screws.

Fold back wheel arch trim (1) in direction of arrow.





Note:
Catch any escaping washer fluid if necessary.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Detach hose (2) from windscreen washer pump (3).
Pull windscreen washer pump (3) in direction of arrow out of fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit (4).





Installation:
- Replace strainer for windscreen washer pump.
- If necessary, coat sealing ring of windscreen washer pump with antiseize agent.
- Ensure hose is laid without kinks.
- Fill fluid reservoir
