Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery and cover
- Remove center console 51 16 200 Removing and Installing Storage Compartment





Note:
Middle rear compartment ventilation duct shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release screws (2), tightening torque 65 77 6AZ Airbag Triggering Control.
Remove vehicle center sensor (3).





Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding Programming and Relearning.
