Overview of functions
The idle speed and air supply at low load are controlled with an electrical idle actuator per bank. The idle actuators are activated across a local CAN bus by the DME. The SMG control module is also connected to this local CAN bus.

Diagnosis instructions
Information for checking electric wires: The connectors on the idle actuators must not be unplugged under any circumstances! The plug contacts have vibration protection and this could be damaged.

The terminal resistors of the idle actuator /SMG-CAN are fitted as follows:
- DME: 120
- Idle actuator, bank 1: 240
- Idle actuator, bank 2: 240
- SMG: no terminal resistor
RENDER: 1.0x
