13 62 560 - Removing and installing/replacing air-mass flow sensor (S85)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition





Note:
Illustration shows and description refers to the left air-mass flow sensor. The procedure is identical for the right air-mass flow sensor.

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unfasten screws.
Pull air-mass flow sensor (2) out of intake filter housing.

Installation:
Check sealing ring between air-mass flow sensor and intake filter housing for damage, replace if necessary.





Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
