37 11 030 Removing and installing front left or right spring strut: Notes

Necessary preliminary work:Β 

Release collar bolt (1), press brake pedal to floor for this purpose.

Tightening torque 31 60 2AZ .

Installation note:Β 

  • Replace collar bolt (1) and compression spring (2).
  • Pay attention to direction of installation of compression spring!
  • Keep collar bolt and spur gearing of bearing/output shaft clean and free of grease.
  • See "installation note" on SPUR GEARΒ .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Disconnect feed line (2) from mounting.

Release nut (1) and remove screw.

Tightening torque 31 12 7AZ .

Release spring strut from control arm (2).

Installation note:Β 

Note direction of insertion of screw.

Replace screw and nut.

Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .
