37 11 030 Removing and installing front left or right spring strut: Notes
Necessary preliminary work:Β
- Remove FRONT WHEEL .
Release collar bolt (1), press brake pedal to floor for this purpose.
Tightening torque 31 60 2AZ .
Installation note:Β
- Replace collar bolt (1) and compression spring (2).
- Pay attention to direction of installation of compression spring!
- Keep collar bolt and spur gearing of bearing/output shaft clean and free of grease.
- See "installation note" on SPUR GEARΒ .
- Remove top control arm. See REMOVING TOP LEFT CONTROL ARMΒ or REMOVING TOP RIGHT CONTROL ARMΒ .
- Release ANTI-ROLL BAR LINK AT SPRING STRUTΒ .
- Remove BRAKE DISC and tie up brake caliper.
- Unlock and disconnect cable from pulse sensor and set it back.
Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Disconnect feed line (2) from mounting.
Release nut (1) and remove screw.
Tightening torque 31 12 7AZ .
Release spring strut from control arm (2).
Installation note:Β
Note direction of insertion of screw.
Replace screw and nut.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .
