Service Interval Indication
Service interval indicator consists either of colored LED blocks or actual mileage remaining until next service. See Figure. Service indicator (which displays OIL SERVICE, INSPECTION I or INSPECTION II) can be reset using the reset tool (models with under-hood diagnostic connector such as Z3 and 7-Series) or instrument cluster odometer button (models without under-hood diagnostic connector such as 3-series and 5-series). When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
