Replacing Steering Spindle Sleeve

Replacing Steering Spindle Sleeve
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Remove panel for pedal assembly.
Remove steering spindle lower section.
Press crash disk (2) off crash sleeve (1).
Lift crash sleeve (1) out of groove of steering spindle upper section and pull down.
Installation:
Replace crash sleeve (1).
Pull upper section of steering spindle towards interior.
Remove holder for accelerator pedal.
Installation:
Tightening torque=2.8 Nm.
Remove sleeve from bulkhead.
Installation:
Make sure sleeve is correctly seated-opening in bulkhead.
