2001 BMW Z8SECTION Service Interval Light Reset (Using Reset Tool)

An under-hood engine diagnostic connector is necessary to perform reset procedure with reset tool. See Figure. To reset the service indicator following an oil service or inspection, insert the reset tool into the under-hood BMW diagnostic connector. See Figure. Follow instructions supplied with tool. When procedure is complete, release button and remove tool. If an error is made before the above sequence of events is completed, repeat the procedure.
