13 41 500 Replacing idle speed control valve (M60, M62): Installation
Position acoustic cover and press downwards until press-studs (1 ... 4) click into place.
Unfasten plug connection (1).
Open clips (1), unfasten hose clip (2) and remove hose. Lift off upper section of air filter housing.
Unfasten hose clips (1) and (2).
Remove suction hoses with upper section of air filter housing.
Disconnect retainer (1).
Remove idle speed control valve.
Install sealing ring in throttle valve flange first.
To ensure that air intake unit is free of leaks, seals on throttle body and idle speed control valve are clean and not damaged. If the sealing rings are damaged, they must be replaced.
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit, check faults in memory then cancel fault memory.
