R & R Control Module (Diagnosis Unit)

1993 BMW 740iL (E32/2) V8-3982cc 4.0L DOHC (M60)SECTION R & R Control Module (Diagnosis Unit)

WARNING: Review Service Precautions. Improper handling could cause activation of the airbag(s) and lead to injuries!

REMOVE
- Disconnect battery and cover negative pole or terminal.
- A waiting period of approximately 5 minutes should be observed before beginning electrical work to allow the capacitor charge to dissipate.





- Remove lower steering column casing section.
- Disconnect plug connection for airbag (orange).
- Remove trim for dashboard (drivers side).
- Remove knee guard.





- Press plug connection off the holder.
- Remove holder.





- Unscrew screws.
- Disconnect plugs (orange).
- Remove control module.

INSTALL
- Install in reverse order.

NOTE: Arrow on module faces forward.

- Check for possible trouble codes.
- Verify proper system operation.
