REPLACING ALL SPARK PLUGS
- Switch off ignition.

Version 1: (acoustic cover screwed down)
- Remove seal caps (1) and unfasten nuts (2).
- Remove acoustic cover.

Version 2: (acoustic cover with press-stud fastener)
- Open press-studs (1 ... 4) one at a time, at the same time lifting the acoustic cover slightly.
- Once all four press-studs have been opened, remove the acoustic cover.
Installation Note: Position acoustic cover and press downwards until press-studs (1 ... 4) click into place.

- Remove sealing caps, unfasten nuts.
- Remove cover from ignition coils.

- Unfasten plug connection.

- Unfasten screws on ignition coils.
Installation Note: Ground straps of cylinder head cover must be secured on ignition coils for cylinders 3 and 6.

- Unscrew and remove spark plugs with special tool 12 1 171.
Installation Note:
- Tighten using special tool 12 1 171 and special tool 12 1 200 (torque limiter)
- Without special tool 12 1 200, not tightening torque.
Tightening torque = 30 - 33 Nm (22 - 24 ft lbs)
- Switch off ignition.
