  1. Machine valve seats using Valve Seat Lathe (00-3-520) and Valve Seat Reseating Set (00-3-580), following instructions supplied with tools. After machining valve seat angle, produce valve seat diameter "B" and valve seat width "D" by machining correction angles "D" and "E" and countersinking "C". See Figure. See VALVE SEAT CORRECTION ANGLES table.
  2. If more than 0.008" (0.20 mm) is machined off valve seat, install a valve with a thicker valve head. See OVERSIZE VALVES AVAILABLEΒ  table to determine available oversize valves.

(1) If size 00 is already installed and valve seat machining exceeds 0.008" (0.20 mm) a install stem oversize 0.008" (0.20 mm). Valve stem markings are located on side of valve stem tip.
