When pulling a trailer or driving on steep gradients, the changed acceleration capacity of the vehicle is evaluated by the control unit. For this purpose, the control unit selects (adapts) suitable gearshift programs to avoid alternating gearshifts in the transmission. The changed gearshift points are intentional and normal.
