SUBJECT: DME Control Unit Codes
Versions: M1.1, M1.2, M1.3. M1.7,
Situation: Successful diagnosis requires that BMW technicians be able to recognize and verify all DME Control Unit codes.
Solution: To assist in the proper identification of these codes, BMW NA has developed a new sliding-type reference chart.
This reference chart consist of 2 parts: a plastic sleeve and a card stock insert.

Reference Chart Insert SD 90-012 $ 2.00
The technical information is contained on the insert, which will be updated as necessary. Insert updates will be announced and can be ordered using item number SD 90-012. The sleeve, made of durable plastic, should be retained for future inserts.
As part of the Automatic Tool Shipment Program every dealer will receive 2 sleeves and 2 inserts. Requests for additional copies should be addressed to:
