Transmission Fluid Pan, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Pay attention to Refer to REPAIR INFORMATION .
- Pay attention to Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the air duct hose.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122Β .
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and push the bracket with the wiring harnesses to the side (example image).
-- Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLINGΒ .
Risk of destroying due to electrostatic charge.
- Do not touch the connector terminals.
- Touch a grounded object (for example the hoist) and discharge any static electricity.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the transmission by turning the twist lock counter-clockwise -arrow- and removing it.
-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit :SMN372500Β under the transmission.
-- Remove the clamp -3-.
-- Loosen and remove the screws -1- in a diagonal sequence.
-- Remove the oil pan -2- and if necessary loosen the oil pan by hitting lightly with a rubber hammer.
