Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A4 AND A5: Installing
-- Insert the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -B- in the receiving shaft from the trim -D- and press in until the tabs -A- click into place.
-- Check that the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -B- is seated correctly in the tabs -A- after replacing the trim -C-.
- If the tabs -A- are not correctly engaged or holding, the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -B- must be secured with the bolts -C- and spring nuts -E- (for example flat-head bolts 4.0 x 12 mm N 104 159 and spring nuts N 105 110 01). Refer to the Parts Information) in the trim -D-.
-- If equipped, install the bolts -C-.
Reinstall in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- After installing the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- check the DTC memory and if necessary erase. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- If the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- is replaced, complete the test plan using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
