Control Module Frame
Removing
- Remove the luggage compartment rear trim panel..
- Disconnect the connectors - 1 - and - 3 -.
- Carefully pull the fuse - 8 - and disconnect the antenna connector - 7 -.
- Disconnect the connectors - 2, 5 and 6 -.
• Ignore - item 4 - and - arrows -.
- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, turn retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.
- Remove the nut - 4 - and screws - 1 - and - 2 -.
- Remove the bracket - 3 - for the cooler.
- Release the spring - arrow - and remove the control module - 1 - with the wires - 2, 3 and 4 - still connected.
- Release the spring - arrow - and remove the Headlamp range control module (J431) - 1 - from the frame with the wire - 2 - still connected.
- Free up the wiring harness - 2 -.
- Remove the nuts - 1 -.
- Open the tabs - 4 - and remove the frame - 3 - from fuse panel F toward the rear.
Installing
• Tightening specification. Refer to => [ Relay/Fuse Carrier and Control Modules in Luggage Compartment Overview ] Relay/Fuse Carrier and Control Modules in Luggage Compartment Overview.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Install the headlamp range control module. Refer to=> [ Headlamp Range Control Module (J431) ] Headlamp Range Control Module (J431).
- Install Comfort system central control module 2 (J773). Refer to => [ Comfort System Central Control Module 2 (J773) ] Comfort System Central Control Module 2 (J773).
- Install the bracket for the cooler.
