- MIL on.
- DTC P045600 (very small EVAP leak) stored in engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001).
- No leaks found in the EVAP system.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
Software update needed.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
New software in the ECM addressed the condition.
SERVICE
- Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732, 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
- Update the ECM using the SVM action code as listed in the table below if necessary.
For A6 and A7:
- If the software level is at 0004 or lower, perform ECM SVM update and replace crankcase pressure regulating valve with part number 06E103547H (only if SVM code 01A092 was used; the SVM code brings ECM to software level 0007, which needs the 'H' suffix breather valve).
- If P045600 is stored with software level 0005 (or higher), only replace the NVLD pressure switch, J909, and the filter.
For A8:
- If software is already to the latest level, replace the NVLD pressure switch, G400, and the filter. The SVM code 02A031 will update both the ECM and the TCM.
