Engine Preheating Element

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

  • Hose Clip Pliers VAS 6362

Removing 

-- Remove the noise insulation -1-. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Drain coolant. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamp and remove the coolant hose from the connection -arrow A-.

-- Disconnect the connector on the engine preheating element -- -arrow D-.

-- Loosen the coolant hose clamp and remove the coolant hose from the connection -arrow E-.

-- Open the clamp -arrow B- and remove the engine preheating element -arrow C- downward.

Installing 

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .
