Diagnostic Mode 07: Check test results of components that are continuously monitored
Diagnostic Mode 07 displays all stored DTCs of emission related components and systems which are continuously monitored.
- Depending on scan tool and protocol used, diagnostic mode 07 and the information provided may be referred to by a different name.
Test requirements
- No DTCs stored in the DTC memory.
- Coolant temperature at least 80° C.
Procedure
- Connect the scan tool.
- Start the engine and run at idle.
- If the engine does not start, crank the engine using starter for at least 5 seconds, do not switch the ignition off afterward under any circumstances.
- Select "Mode 7: Check test results of components that are continuously monitored".
The number of stored DTCs or "0 malfunctions detected" will be displayed scan tool screen.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Refer to the following DTC tables for the diagnostic repair procedure:
- SAE P0xxxDTCs. → SAE P0xxx-DTCs .
- SAE P1xxx-DTCs → SAE P1xxx-DTCs .
- SAE P2xxxDTCs. → SAE P2xxx-DTCs .
- SAE P3xxxDTCs. → SAE P3xxx-DTCs .
- SAE U0xxxDTCs, → SAE U0xxx-DTCs .
- Switch the ignition off.
- End of diagnosis.

When to See a Mechanic
