Front axle speed sensor, removing and installing: Notes

2009 Audi A6 BaseSECTION Notes

Removing 

  • Loosen wheel bolts.
  • Raise vehicle.
  • Remove wheel.

  • Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - -.

  • Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - -.
  • Disconnect speed sensor connector - -.
  • Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers - -.

  • Release grommet - - in wheel housing.
  • Remove ABS speed sensor from wheel bearing housing.
  • Disconnect connector.

Installing 

  • Before installing speed sensor, install sealing collar and coat speed sensor all round with lubricating paste G 000 650  .
  • Install ABS speed sensor.
  • Clip speed sensor wiring into retainers and install grommet in wheel housing.

Install wheels → 44 - WHEELS, TIRES, VEHICLE ALIGNMENT .

  • Turn steering completely to left and right and check clearance of speed sensor wire.
